About Mr. Michael Creasey
I was born in Joliet, IL, on September 10, 1989. As of now, I continue to live in Joliet and plan to do so as I live out my career here at Richland Grade School. After graduating from Joliet West High School in 2008, I began higher education at Joliet Junior College where I earned my Associate in Arts degree in 2010. After this, I studied education at Lewis University in Romeoville, IL, graduating in May 2012, with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, containing middle school endorsements in mathematics and social science. I began my career at Richland during the 2012-2013 school year as a long term substitute teacher for 5th grade. I was hired to teach 1st grade in 2013, then moved to kindergarten in 2017, and am beginning my seventh year as a permanent teacher. In my family, my mother and father were both teachers in Manhattan, IL, along with numerous aunts and uncles. I also have a brother, Matthew, and a sister, Maitlyn. In my free time, I enjoy gaming, going out to dinner and movies with my friends, and traveling. I certainly do plan to incorporate my interests into my lessons, as it will add a more personal touch to the joy of learning. I know I will enjoy working with your child this year.
